Saga Of The Swamp Thing #38 : Still Waters
Writer : Alan Moore
Artists: Stan Woch
John Totleben
As Swamp Thing bids farewell to Abby and prepares to travel to Rosewood in order to meet with the mysterious Englishman, John
Constantine, a young boy falls victim to a horde of aquatic vampires. Swampy struggles to remember why the name
Rosewood sounds familiar - eventually recalling how he fought a horde of vampires there - defeating them by destroying a local damn
and flooding the town.
John, meanwhile, learns of Emma's death from an apologethic Frank - local newspapers claim that she committed suicide but John's unwilling
to accept that. Under the lake at Rosewood, the vampire queen prepares to lay her eggs. Swampy meets the
Englishman as planned but instead of revealing what he knows about the Earth Elemental, John tells the Swamp Thing that the vampires he thought
dead are in fact alive.
Seething with anger, Swampy agrees to confront the vampires.
